TL;DR

We don’t run forms, accounts, or our own analytics on these sites. The only direct data we receive is from Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and doesn’t fingerprint visitors. The sites embed third-party content (YouTube videos, SoundCloud audio, Google Fonts, and a Substack subscribe widget). Those embeds set their own cookies and see your IP address as part of normal operation, governed by each third party’s privacy policy. If you subscribe to our Substack newsletter through the embed, Substack collects your email and makes it visible to us as the publication owner. We don’t sell or share any of this, and we use subscriber emails only to send you the newsletter you signed up for.

Scope

This policy covers websites operated by Parietal Lab, LLC, including parietallab.com and connectomegame.com (and any future Parietal Lab product sites that link to this policy). For the CONNECTOME application itself, see our separate CONNECTOME Privacy Policy.

What We Collect Directly

Nothing. These sites do not have user accounts, contact forms, newsletter signups other than the third-party Substack embed described below, e-commerce, or any other direct data-collection mechanism.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate site traffic — for example, how many people visited a page, country-level geography, and which pages were viewed. Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless and does not fingerprint or track individual visitors across sites. Details at Cloudflare’s privacy information.

Third-Party Embeds

Our sites embed content from third parties. When you visit a page containing one of these embeds, the third party may set cookies and receive technical data such as your IP address, browser type, and the page you’re viewing. We do not control or have access to this data.

Substack Newsletter

Our sites include a Substack subscribe embed. If you enter your email and subscribe:

  • Substack collects and stores your email address.
  • We, as the publication owner, can see the email addresses of our subscribers within Substack’s dashboard.
  • We use these emails only to send the newsletter you subscribed to.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share subscriber emails with anyone else.
  • You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any newsletter email, or by managing your subscription on Substack.

Cookies

We do not set any first-party cookies. Cookies you may encounter on these sites come from the third-party embeds listed above. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.

Children

These sites are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Your Rights

If you’ve subscribed to our newsletter and would like us to remove your subscriber record, email us at the address below and we’ll delete you from our Substack list. For data held by the third parties listed above (Google/YouTube, SoundCloud, Substack), please refer to their privacy policies for the rights and controls they provide directly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll update the “Last Updated” date above and post the revised version at the same URL.
